          WDAS will be hosting its third “Women of Excellence Awards” this week; but with differing versions of how the event came together.

          Some say it’s an inaugural event to celebrate some of the city’s African-American women making their mark.

          Among those who play their part in ensuring that local African-American women receive their props are four dynamic women in their own right.
